CampusSERVE

Introducing students to the city. Introducing the city to Jesus.

Being a site leader can have its down sides, especially when you have been at a site for four years. The kids know you, and sometimes try to exploit you. It seems that, more than not, the things I get frustrated with are the same things God can get discouraged about in my own life. I see these two kids fighting about something ridiculous and think, so this is how God must feel when I quarrel with others. I see kids running around during a lesson time and think, so this is how God must feel when He has something to tell me and I ignore it. I try to show love to a kid and play with him and then he punches me and says, “I hate you,” and I think, so this is how God must feel when after all He has done for me, I just spit in His face. I see that a kid won’t share his football that he is not even playing with and think, so this is how God must feel when I keep all things to myself. A kid gets mad because I don’t have the cookie he wants and think, so this is how God must feel when I want more from God, even though I don’t deserve it.

So who is CampusSERVE for? The students at Liberty? The kids? The families in the community? It’s for God, to do what He wants to do and teach who He wants to teach in all walks of life, in all situations, in all circumstances.

  1. Bro, you hit it right on. I’ve felt it too. That’s the Truth. Word.
