…visual CampusSERVE

January 2009 Patrick joined our team to enable CampusSERVE to capture our experiences visually.  I wanted to draw attention to what is happening in Lynchburg, VA because of our amazing volunteers.  Now, we are able to show you.  Enjoy:

These photos are updated periodically on the right hand column of this blog.  —>

Thanks for the role each of you play.  Send me your pictures and story if you’d like them to be added to our blog:

Flames Teammates

Thanks to the Liberty Athletics Ticket Office, CampusSERVE has secured free entry to all LU HOME football games this fall for kids in the community that are accompanied by a CampusSERVE volunteer.

To cash in on the free tickets for the kids:

1. Enter the stadium by Section 16 (by the Football Operations Center)

2. Sign in each kid by first name under the name of the CampusSERVE volunteer

3. Sit in Sections 10 – 16 (on the student side)

4. Please watch to make sure all kids are well-behaved and returned to their homes safely.  The volunteer is responsible for all safety and supervision before, during, and after the game.

Capture CampusSERVE

Hey all!

I mentioned on Saturday that I need your help. I need your help capturing the images of CampusSERVE. If you are interested in helping as a photographer for CampusSERVE, this is where you can get some more information.

What do you need to have in order to help with the artistic side of CampusSERVE?

  • A digital camera.
  • A little extra time.
  • A willingness to serve and be committed to your CampusSERVE site.

If you are interested, how do you get involved?

  • Send 5 of your photos, that you believe best represent your photography, to before midnight on the 19th of September.
  • Please also include a short summary of why you would like to help CampusSERVE as a photographer.
  • We will let you know during the week of the 19th through the 26th who will be helping capture the images of CampusSERVE in our community.

CampusSERVE has grown to a size that is beyond one person’s ability to see. Having your help will expand our ability to connect to each site and to capture images that are characteristic of the people and the ministry at each individual site. Thank you so much for considering this opportunity!

God, may your Kingdom come in new ways this year.  Please open the hearts of people in Lynchburg through our obedience to go and love them.  And, Lord teach us courage in sharing your Gospel with all men and women and children we meet.  Your Son carried his life to Calvary to die for our sin and we carry that message into the community this year.  May our words boldly lead people to relationships with you and may our hands boldly show them that we live it.
